A2. The site
The information and services available on the site are provided for the sole purpose of individuals looking for actuarial job opportunities and career information, and for employers seeking to recruit actuarial staff. You may use, print and download information from the site for these purposes only and for no other personal or commercial purpose.
All copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights in the site and the material available on the site belong to Actuary365. Use of the site does not give you any rights in such materials.
A3. Data protection
Our use of CVs and other personal information supplied by users of this site is governed by our Privacy Notice.
A4. Site availability
We try to ensure continuous availability of the site and all the services available on it, but accept no responsibility for the consequences of interruptions or delays, however caused. We may alter the design and specification of the site at any time.
A5. Browser policy
Actuary365 endeavours to support as many users as possible. We cannot guarantee availability of the service through all browsers. Actuary365 requires jobseekers to enable session cookies (enabling permanent cookies is recommended) and JavaScript in their browser.
A6. Limitation of liability
Our liability, and the liability of our third-party suppliers, for any loss or damage suffered by you as a result of your use of this site is limited to your actual direct damages and, except in the case of fraud, excludes any loss of future earnings, profit or prospects or any consequential or speculative loss. As required by law, this exclusion does not extend to death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
A7. Governing law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
B. Jobseekers
B1. CVs and job advertisements
CVs and job ads on the site are provided by candidates and prospective employers and their agents and are not individually reviewed by Actuary365. We accept no responsibility or liability for the contents of CVs or advertisements and expect candidates and prospective employers to carry out such verification procedures as are customary in the circumstances.
B2. Use of Actuary365 information
The services and information provided are to assist in the jobseeking or recruitment process. Neither we nor our third-party suppliers guarantee their suitability in any particular case. You should obtain independent verification before relying on information provided on the site in circumstances that may result in loss or damage.
C. Terms for recruiters & employers
C1. Definitions
- Customer means any person, company, organisation or firm that purchases services from us.
- Order Form means an order for services on a form provided by us (in any format) and accepted by a customer.
- Services means all recruitment products and services made available by Actuary365 from time to time.
- Contract term means the full term specified in the order form.
C2. Commencement & pricing
We will not commence the provision of services pursuant to any order form until the order form has been accepted by Actuary365 and the customer. Prices are guaranteed for the period stated on the order form and are confidential. A job posted on Actuary365 will remain live for 30 days, or such other period as agreed with the customer. Extensions or additional postings will be charged as new postings at the agreed rate. Unused services within a specified period may not be carried over without our prior written consent.
C3. Payments
All prices exclude VAT where applicable. Invoices are payable within 28 days from invoice date. Late payment entitles us to suspend the provision of services. Interest may be charged on late payments at 3% above the prevailing base rate.
C4. Termination
The customer may terminate the provision of services under any order form by giving no fewer than 30 days' notice to expire at the end of a contract month. Early termination may result in loss of discounts agreed for the entire contract term. We may terminate the provision of services if the customer is in material breach of these terms and has not remedied that breach within 10 days of notice, or if the customer becomes insolvent, ceases to trade or goes into liquidation.
C5. Recruiter limitation of liability
Our total liability to a customer in respect of any services, except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, is limited to the total amount paid to us during the contract term for such services or €10,000, whichever is the greater.
C6. Site rules for job postings
- No duplicating of jobs.
- No over-use of keywords in job descriptions or job titles intended to influence search ranking.
- Job advertisements must be for genuine vacancies only.
- External URLs or email addresses in the body of a job description must be limited to the standard "apply" link; we reserve the right to remove postings that breach these rules.
C7. Illegal & discriminatory advertisements
Advertisements that discriminate on grounds of sex, race, age, religion (unless there is a genuine occupational requirement), disability or any other protected characteristic are illegal and will be removed. We may, at our discretion, remove any advertisement we consider to be in breach of employment-discrimination rules.
C8. Responses to advertisements
You agree to deal fairly and professionally with individuals who respond to an advertisement you have posted, and to indemnify Actuary365 against any claim brought by an individual arising from your breach of this obligation. It is your responsibility to verify that candidates are suitable and have the required qualifications. Actuary365 does not guarantee any response to your advertisement.
C9. Content & links
If your advertisement links to another site from the "apply" option, you are responsible for maintaining the link and for the content of your advertisement and the linked site. We may remove any advertisement that contains content or links that, in our opinion, are defamatory or illegal. You will indemnify Actuary365 against any claims arising from such content or links.
C10. Use of candidate data
Where you obtain access to candidate information through Actuary365, the rights in that information remain with Actuary365 and the relevant candidate. You may use that information only to contact candidates for the purpose of suitable, specific job vacancies, and only in connection with your own recruitment activities. You may NOT: supply, sell or license that information to any other person (including affiliated companies); download data through any automated process; or use the information for any purpose other than legitimate recruitment. You must at all times comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the Irish Data Protection Act 2018 and all related guidance, and delete candidate material once it is no longer needed for the recruitment activity for which it was provided.
C11. Online advertising campaigns
These terms apply to all advertising material ("campaigns") accepted by Actuary365 for display on our site. By placing a campaign you accept these terms as principal, even if acting as an agent for the actual advertiser. You are responsible for the content of the campaign and for ensuring it complies with all relevant legislation and codes of practice. We may, at our discretion, remove the campaign from display without reference or liability to you. You will indemnify Actuary365 against any claim that the campaign or its content infringes the intellectual-property or other rights of others or is defamatory. Your sole remedy if we make an error in displaying a campaign is the cost of re-running the relevant campaign; we shall not be liable for any loss of profit or business, or failure to display the campaign caused by circumstances outside our control.
D. World Cup 2026 Sweepstake
The following section applies only to entrants of the Actuary365 World Cup 2026 Sweepstake.
D1. Eligibility
The Actuary365 World Cup 2026 Sweepstake is free to enter and open to qualified Actuaries, Actuarial students, and professionals working in the Actuarial industry. One entry per verified email address. Entries from automated systems or duplicate accounts will be disqualified.
D2. Entry & deadline
Entries must be submitted before kick-off of the opening match of the FIFA World Cup 2026 (11/06/2026). Picks lock automatically at that time and cannot be changed.
D3. Prizes
Cash prizes are awarded to the top-ranked entrants and one "wooden spoon" position as displayed on the sweepstake page. In the event of a tie that cannot be resolved by the listed tiebreakers, the relevant prize pot will be shared equally between tied entrants. Prizes are paid by bank transfer within 30 days of the tournament final.
D4. Use of personal data
We collect the name, email address, and company you provide at sign-up solely to administer your entry, contact prize winners, and operate the Actuary365 platform. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
D5. Email & correspondence opt-in
By entering the sweepstake you agree that Actuary365 may contact you by email regarding your entry, your standing on the leaderboard, prize notifications, and occasional updates about Actuarial jobs, events, and content relevant to the profession. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time via the link in any email or from your account settings; essential prize and account correspondence will continue.
D6. Conduct & fair play
Any attempt to manipulate the sweepstake, the leaderboard, or another user's entry will result in immediate disqualification. Actuary365 reserves the right to amend these terms, void entries, or cancel the sweepstake where required by law or technical necessity.
D7. Sweepstake liability
The sweepstake is provided "as is". Actuary365 is not affiliated with FIFA or any participating football association. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Actuary365 accepts no liability for technical failures, delayed match data, or third-party odds inaccuracies.
